The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is expecting dry weather Monday with increasing clouds followed by a mix of rain and snow Tuesday and Wednesday.

The service posted this statement on its website:

Monday will start the week with mostly sunny skies in the morning and breezy winds gusting up to 30 MPH. Increasing cloud cover will move across the region Monday afternoon ahead of our next disturbance. Tuesday will start off with scattered snow showers across southeast Wyoming before lower elevations transition over to rain by mid-morning. Rain showers will become more widespread by Tuesday afternoon while snow will continue to mix in with rain west of I-25. Areas east of I-25 will see a rain/snow mix overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday before the precipitation makes its way out of our region Wednesday afternoon.
