Jodi Purdy was selected to be on the 2010 Mountain West All-Conference Volleyball Team on Tuesday as the team and other post-season honors were released. JennaRae Jester was named Second Team CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-American.

Purdy was the 2009 Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year and continued to impress and improve through her sophomore season in which she started every match.  She finished the 2010 season with 350 kills to average 3.21/set, 284 digs for 2.61/set, 42 aces, 74 total blocks and 431 points for 3.95/set.  As a sophomore outside hitter she led the Cowgirl team in kills, aces and total points, was second in digs and third blocking.  Purdy was one of six outside hitters and three sophomores on the All-Conference team.  In the conference Purdy was first in aces, third in points and seventh in kills.  For her career Purdy has racked up 748 kills, 578 digs, 70 aces and 123 blocks.

Senior middle blocker JennaRae Jester was selected for the Second Team CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-America list.  Jester is a three-time MWC Scholar Athlete, two-time Academic All-MWC and was selected for the 2010 Lowe's Senior Class Award.  She is a three-time captain for the Cowgirls and carries a 3.971 gpa in business administration with minors in finance and spanish.  Jester finished her senior season ranked 18th in the nation in blocks per set with 1.34.  In her four years as a cowgirl she tallied 596 kills, 336 total blocks and 68 aces.

The University of Wyoming volleyball team posted a 22-10 overall record in the 2010 season and finished sixth in the conference with a 7-9 record.
