The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is reporting that a large herd of pronghorn antelope is currently migrating through the area, and many of the animals are extremely close to Highway 130 near the Laramie Airport and Wild Horse Ranch.

People are asked to slow down in the area and keep an eye out for animals crossing the road. Game and Fish is warning that once one pronghorn crosses the roadway, many more may follow.

A game warden is currently attempting to slow traffic in the area, but many are continuing to drive at speeds reaching or exceeding the speed limit despite the risks that the big game animals present.

With the heavy snowfall, the pronghorns are moving closer to roadways in search of food. Many are near the road eating the exposed grass.

In order to help the migrating pronghorns pass through, landowners are asked to leave gates open in pastures with no livestock.
