Possible False Report Leads to Laramie Evacuation
A possible false report led to the evacuation of an Albany County neighborhood earlier this week.
According to the Albany County Sheriff's office, multiple agencies including the ACSO, the Laramie P.D., The Wyoming Highway patrol and the Laramie fire department were dispatched to the scene Wednesday.
According to the alleged witness, an unknown male had entered a residence on the 400 block of North Pierce street, where a woman was also heard screaming for help.
Due the the allegations of a possible hostage situation, Laramie P.D. and Albany County S.O. SWAT team was activated to respond to the scene. Neighboring homes were also evacuated.
Upon entering the home, it was discovered to be unoccupied. An investigation of a possible false report are currently ongoing.
