Although it's very much in the initial stages, there has been some discussion recently about the possibility of creating a pedestrian mall in the area of the state capitol building in Cheyenne.

One possibility would include the closure of Capitol Avenue between 24th and 22nd Streets, with 24th Street, closed in front of the Capitol. Supporters of the idea say it would improve access to the Capitol as well as the Wyoming State Museum and other attractions.

Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr was quoted recently in an article in the Wyoming Tribune Eagle newspaper as saying she was ''absolutely in love with the idea.'' But opponents of the idea worry about the cost and the impact on traffic flow and parking in downtown Cheyenne.

So what is your opinion of the idea?
