Pacers End 7-Year Drought In Atlanta – NBA Roundup For Feb. 5th
UNDATED (AP) — The Indiana Pacers are so good this season, they're even winning in Atlanta.
The Pacers had dropped 12 straight regular-season meetings on the Hawks' home floor before David West scored 22 points and Paul George added 18 in an 89-85 victory in Atlanta. The Pacers held All-Star forward Paul Millsap to seven points on 2 of 11 shooting and didn't allow a Hawks starter to score more than nine points.
Indiana hadn't won a regular-season game in Atlanta since December 2006.
The Pacers are now 38-10 and lead the NBA's Eastern Conference by 3 ½ games over Miami following their third consecutive win.
In other NBA action:
— Al Jefferson poured in 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Charlotte's 91-75 victory at Golden State. Gerald Henderson added 17 points, eight boards and six assists while helping the Bobcats hold the Warriors to 31 percent shooting.
— Chicago got 19 points and 12 rebounds from Carlos Boozer in a 101-92 win at Phoenix. Jimmy Butler and D.J. Augustin had 18 points apiece as the Bulls rebounded from Monday's 99-70 loss at Sacramento.
— Kevin Love had 31 points and 17 rebounds in Minnesota's 109-99 win against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kevin Martin scored 14 of his season-high-tying 32 points in the opening 10 minutes as the Timberwolves dealt the Lakers their seventh straight loss.
