LANDER, Wyo. (AP) — Lander Police Chief Jim Carey says there will be no criminal charges filed against a former Wyoming Catholic College chaplain fired amid allegations of improper conduct with students.

According to the Associated Press, Carey says he's confident no criminal acts were committed and the case is considered closed.

School spokesman Matthew Brasmer says the chaplain was dismissed effective Nov. 19 for what he termed as conduct unacceptable for a Catholic college chaplain.

Brasmer says Wyoming Catholic College at Lander is searching for a new chaplain.
