The rematch of last year's state championship went Natrona's way as the Fillies beat Laramie 64-27 on Friday night in Casper.

The Lady Plainsmen led 7-1 after the first quarter, but Natrona exploded on a 21-0 run to start the second quarter, then outscored LHS 25-0 in the third. Reigning Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year Kaylee Johnson, a junior for Natrona, finished with 28 points and 24 rebounds. Her sister Gabbie Johnson finished with 19 points and 11 boards.

"They're big kids and they work hard, too," LHS head coach Rod Tyson said about the Johnson sisters. "It's not just that they're big. They're also good and they work hard. That makes a big difference."

Laramie was led by Madison Legerski with 12 points, 9 of them thanks to 3 treys in the first half. The Lady Plainsmen fall to 2-2 overall. They will head to the Flaming Gorge Tournament in Green River and Rock Springs next weekend.
