Rocky Mountain Power has restored power to one of two outages affecting more than 5,000 Laramie residents. The first outage affected 2,692 residents and occurred at 8:15 p.m. when a tree came in contact with a power line.

The second outage was caused by substation issue and Rocky Mountain Power says crew members have been dispatched to the substation and are working on the issue. RMP said crews have been called in from Casper to help restore power. They estimated the power would not be restored until 2:15 a.m.. About 2,653 people are affected by that outage.

The Laramie Police Department issued a warning on their Facebook page, advising Laramie residents to stay in their homes, as multiple accidents and many traffic and street lights are out, causing hazardous driving conditions.
