UNDATED (AP) — Michigan is No. 1 in the AP college basketball poll for the first time since the start of the 1992-93 season. The Wolverines received 51 first-place votes, while second-ranked Kansas claimed 13. Third-ranked Indiana is followed by Florida and Duke, which was No. 1 last week before a lopsided loss at Miami.

Syracuse, Gonzaga, Arizona, Butler and Oregon round out the top 10.

The second-ranked Kansas Jayhawks extended a pair of streaks by winning their first-ever meeting with West Virginia.

Travis Releford and Jeff Withey each scored 15 points and the Jayhawks shot 54 percent in a 61-56 win over the Mountaineers. Ben McLemore added 13 points for Kansas, which stretched the nation's longest winning streak to 18 games and held its opponent under 60 points for the sixth consecutive game.

No. 12 Louisville barely managed to end its three-game losing streak as Russ Smith and Gorgui Dieng (GOHR'-kee jehng) combined for 34 points, including four free throws in the final 12 seconds of a 64-61 triumph over Pittsburgh. Smith finished with 20 points, while Dieng contributed 14, 12 rebounds and five blocks to help the Cardinals improve to 17-4 overall.

And Vander Blue's career-high 30 points led No. 25 Marquette past South Florida 63-50. The Golden Eagles moved into a first-place tie with Syracuse in the Big East at 6-1.
