Man Who Went Missing From Wyoming Found Safe in Montana
The man who was reported missing after he drove off by himself on Sunday has been found safe in Montana.
Robert Winters, 82, suffers from Alzheimer's and short-term memory loss. He was headed home to Port Angeles, Washington on Sunday with his wife Barbara, when the couple stopped in Wamsutter.
Winters drove off alone, and was reported missing.
Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell said in a statement Wednesday that deputies and the Wyoming Highway Patrol determined Winters' credit card was used late Monday in Eden, Idaho, along the Interstate 84 corridor.
Police officers in Missoula, Montana found Winters on Wednesday at a restaurant. He has been checked into a Missoula hotel, and his case has been referred to Montana's Adult Protection Services agency.
Winters' family has been notified of his whereabouts.
