Wyoming senior linebacker Logan Wilson was named one of the 12 semifinalists for the Butkus Award on Monday.

Wilson is the lone semifinalist from a non-Autonomous Five conference team. The Butkus Award is in its 35th year honoring the nation’s best linebackers. Finalists will be announced on Monday, Nov. 25. The winner will be revealed on or around Dec. 10.

Wilson is one of Wyoming’s team captains for 2019. He is the second-leading tackler with 62 through eight games this season. That includes 38 solo stops and 6.5 tackles for loss. Wilson has an interception, six pass breakups, two quarterback hurries, and has forced one fumble.

Wyoming plays at No. 21 Boise State Saturday, Nov. 9 at 8:15 p.m. The game is being televised on ESPN.
