CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Republican Liz Cheney has won a second term as Wyoming's lone U.S. House representative.

Cheney beat Democratic businessman Greg Hunter of Laramie in a race that drew little attention compared to her previous campaigns.

Cheney first won office by beating Democrat Ryan Greene by a more than 2-to-1 margin in 2016. She dominated a field of nine candidates in that year's Republican primary.

Cheney has sponsored and supported several bills to help Wyoming's coal, oil and natural gas industries. One bill that has not yet passed would allow states to handle oil and gas permitting on federal land.

She is a daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
