Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski announced on Thursday the signing of Mina Geric to play at the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2011. Geric is a 6-0 forward from Belgrade, Serbia  who played as a member of the Serbian National Team.

"She will bring great versatility with her size and has the ability to play several positions on the court. Her offensive skill set will allow her to contribute immediately."

Geric played for Sportska Gimnazija and helped the Serbian National Team to a second place finish at the Kup Demšar. She was part of the team that won first place in the Belgrade League along with first and second place finishes in the Radnicki RGB and All-Star tournaments.

The addition of Geric to this year's recruiting class brings the total to six student-athletes. Five players signed to become Cowgirls during the early signing period including Alison Gorrell (5-10, Guard, Evergeen, Colo.), Kaitlyn Mileto (5-10, Guard, Colorado Springs, Colo.), Jordan Sibrel (6-1, Forward, Loveland, Colo.), Fatime Thiam (6-6, Center, Dakar, Senegal) and Kayla Woodward (5-11, Forward, Sheridan, Wyo.).

Bec Campigli left an unexpected hole in the Cowgirl lineup when she decided not to return to the University of Wyoming in order to pursue a professional basketball career in her native Australia. The cowgirls also lost four players to graduation.
