It's a play Wyoming basketball fans have seen too many times to count. Larry Nance, Jr. takes off from just inside the free throw line, elevates over an opponent and throws down a powerful one-hand slam.

Last night, the former Pokes star delivered the dunk of the year, posterizing seven-foot-tall Brooklyn Nets center Brooke Lopez.

Let's watch that again. At one point, Nance hovers several feet over the rim before dropping the hammer with authority.

To make the play even more impressive, the 6'9" power forward showed off some nifty ball handling and a killer crossover before towering over Lopez.

While Nance's latest slam ranks among the best dunks you'll ever see, his aerial acrobatics have become a familiar sight for Lakers fans.

In his second season, the former University of Wyoming standout has justified his status as a first-round draft pick, averaging 7.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

While Nance, Jr. continues to impress in the professional ranks, fans here in Wyoming will always remember him as the "Mayor of Dunk Town."
