The Laramie Open presented by Toyota of Laramie will be Friday through Sunday at Jacoby Golf Course.

There are three different divisions with over 100 professionals playing. There’s also an Amateur Championship flight and an Amateur flight. A total of 142 players are on the tee sheet for Friday, July 3. Tee times start at 6:50 a.m. for morning groups and noon for afternoon groups.

University of Wyoming Director of Golf and Cowboys’ head coach Joe Jensen released a statement through the university.

“The Laramie Open has grown every year and this tournament has an atmosphere of a high-level tournament. This is a great event for our community and this is the best group of talent to play in Laramie. We take great pride in hosting and the staff has done a great job preparing the course for this weekend.”

Defending champion Austin Jordan is back to defend his professional championship he won in 2019. He pocketed $15,000 for a three-stroke victory. Jordan shot a nine-under-par, 204 total.

Also back to defend a title is Tyler Severin. He’s a current member of the UW men’s golf team. Severin captured the Amateur Division Championship Flight by six strokes.

Brian Hall and Dave Perdue tied for the top honors in the Amateur Division Second Flight. Both return for the 2020 Laramie Open.

In addition to Severin, current Cowboy Kirby Coe-Kirkham and Cowgirl Cristiana Ciasca will also be participating. According to UW Athletics, some former Cowboy golfers are also part of this event.

The top 60 golfers, including ties, will compete for the championship in the final round on Sunday.

The Laramie Open is open to spectators. Anyone attending is asked to please follow social distancing rules at Jacoby Golf Course.
