Funding levels, tax renewals and streets are highlighting the conversation the Laramie City Council is having, as it discusses its budget for Fiscal Year 2019.

Laramie Mayor Andrea Summerville visited with host David Settle Monday during the month “Mondays With The Mayor” series on the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show. Mayor Summerville started the discussion by talking about stable funding for the City of Laramie for their budget. She emphasized the importance of two upcoming penny tax renewals on the August (6th Penny) and November (5th Penny) ballots, and what they’ll be used for. A big topic was street maintenance and repair within the city, as well as stormwater systems and drainage.

The Laramie City Council has a work session today, while its next regular council meeting is Tuesday, May 15. Since May is a month with five Tuesday’s, there will be City Council Ward Sessions coming up on May 29.
