High-risk traffic stop in Rawlins leads to arrest of wanted man

Wyoming Highway Patrol Troopers arrested a Utah man wanted for rape and domestic violence in Rawlins on Thursday.

According to a post on the agency's Facebook page, at 7 a.m. troopers got a Be On The Lookout [BOLO] for a white Chrysler Seabreeze. The BOLO was in regard to a man wanted in Utah for rape and domestic violence

Around 8:30 a.m. troopers spotted the vehicle in question and performed a high-risk traffic stop at 8:41 a.m. The suspect pulled over and did not try to escape or resist arrest. He was soon locked up at the Carbon County Jail.

The Investigation Is Ongoing

The investigation is ongoing, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol is working closely with the Utah State Bureau of Investigations (SBI).

As always, suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
