Cheyenne Police Credit License Plate Reader In Arrest Of Sex Abuse Suspect

Cheyenne Police say information from a license plate reader in Colorado helped lead  to the arrest of a suspect in a Laramie County sex abuse case

That's according to a post on the CPD Facebook page.

The Arrest Was Made By Fort Collins Police

According to the post, a warrant had been issued in Laramie County for the suspect for sexual abuse of a minor several weeks ago. The case originated with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office. But according to the post "Within 48 hours of the CPD Detective looking for the suspect, conducting interviews, and utilizing license plate reader technology he was found and arrested"

The post declines to identify the suspect due to the nature of the charges, but it does thank Fort Collins police for making the arrest.
