The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about the possibility of damaging winds in southeast Wyoming on Thursday.
How damaging? According to a special weather packet issued by the agency on Monday:

Increasing Confidence in a High End, Impactful Wind Event.
➔ There has been a consistent signal for very strong winds Thursday into Friday this week.
➔ All parameters are nearly maxed out or in the 90th+ percentile for this time of year. ➔ Strongest winds expected in the typical wind prone areas. Winds are expected to spill out of the wind prones.
◆ 80-100+mph possible in wind prones.
◆ 70-80+mph possible outside of wind prones.
➔ Low afternoon RH on Thursday may lead to extremely dangerous fire weather conditions.
