The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued High Wind warnings and watches for parts of southeast Wyoming today.

The agency posted the following on its website:

High Wind Watches for Arlington and Bordeaux have been upgraded to High Wind Warnings from noon until 9PM today. These two areas will likely see wind gusts to 60 mph as a cold front approaches from the northwest. The I-80 Summit and eastern foothills along Interstate 80 remain in a High Wind Watch. A more brief period of strong winds are possible in these two zones late this afternoon and early evening. Strong west to west northwest winds will create a increased risk for blowoffs and blow overs for those driving light weight and high profile vehicles. This includes those towing camper trailers. Visit wyoroad.info for latest road conditions across southeast Wyoming. Stay safe!

Meet the Four-Legged Heroes of the Cheyenne Police Department

They may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but make no bones about it, police dogs play a vital role in the fight against crime.

In many situations, they're the first ones to put their lives on the line to protect their human partners, proving that not all heroes wear capes, some wear fur coats.
