A 36-year-old Wyoming woman is dead after rolling her SUV on Interstate 25, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.

The crash happened around 4:39 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, at milepost 299.63 in Buffalo.

According to a fatality crash summary, Kayla Green was behind the wheel of a northbound Buick Rainier in the left-hand lane when she suddenly steered hard to the right.

"The vehicle entered a broadside, driver-side leading slide, and went off the right side of the roadway, sliding into the borrow pit," the summary reads. "The vehicle struck a drainage ditch and rolled 1 1/2 times, coming to rest on its roof."

Sadly, Green, who was not wearing her seat belt, did not survive the crash.

No Factors Listed

The summary does not list any possible contributing factors.

Green is the fifth reported person to die in a rollover crash on I-25 in Wyoming this year.
