The Wyoming Highway Patrol says speed may be to blame for a single-vehicle rollover crash that left a Wyoming teen dead and another person injured.

The crash happened around 9:27 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 near mile marker 5 on Farson 2nd East Road (County Road 106) near Farson in Sweetwater County.

According to a fatality crash summary, a Dodge Dakota was headed southbound when the driver lost control and began rotating 180 degrees.

"The vehicle exited the roadway, tripped, and rolled," the summary reads.

1 Killed, 1 Injured

The rollover left a 15-year-old dead and the other occupant injured. It's unknown which one of them was driving.

Wyoming Records 100th Traffic Fatality

This is the eighth reported juvenile and the 100th reported person to die on Wyoming's highways this year.
