According to a fatality crash summary, William Johnson was behind the wheel of a westbound Ford Fiesta when he exited the right side of the interstate.

"The vehicle then reentered the roadway and traveled across both lanes, exited the left side of the road, and collided with the cable barrier," the summary reads. "The vehicle came to an uncontrolled rest in the left lane of I-80."

Johnson was wearing his seat belt but, sadly, did not survive the crash.
