2 Dead, 1 Injured Following Head-On Collision in Wyoming
Two people were killed and another injured in a head-on collision near Worland last week, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
The crash happened around 9:21 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at milepost 161.6 on U.S. 20.

Failed Attempt to Pass Causes Deadly Crash
According to a fatality crash summary, the driver of a GMC Sierra was headed south when they began to pass a semi, failing to see an oncoming Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.
The Patrol says the driver of the SUV, 64-year-old Texas resident Stephen Twarowski, attempted to avoid the pickup by swerving to the right and entering the shoulder of the road and the pickup driver attempted to avoid the SUV by swerving to the left, and the two vehicles collided head-on.
"The Mitsubishi exited the roadway to the east, rolling onto its driver's side, coming to rest approximately 35 feet from the edge of the road," the summary reads. "The GMC Sierra continued south before exiting the road to the east, where it collided with the right-of-way fence."
Sadly, Twarowski and his passenger, 71-year-old Texas resident Linda Ingalls, both of whom were wearing their seat belts, did not survive their injuries.
The pickup driver was also reportedly injured in the crash, but the Patrol did not say to what extent.
The summary lists driver inattention as a possible contributing factor.
Twarowski and Ingalls are the 61st and 62nd reported people to die on Wyoming's highways this year.
