Energy Share Of Wyoming Available To Help With Energy Emergencies
Energy Share of Wyoming is now taking applications to help people facing energy-related emergencies, according to a news release.
The release says specifically that Energy Share helps people ''when unusual circumstances create financial needs not met through existing energy assistance programs.''
The program is a cooperative effort among several Wyoming energy companies, and is supported by contributions from both individuals and various organizations
According to the release “During the 2023-24 heating season, Energy Share of Wyoming raised $155,215 in private and corporate donations to assist 289 households in 14 counties throughout Wyoming,” said Laurie Farkas, president of the Energy Share of Wyoming board of directors. “Total distributions for energy bill and propane bill assistance totaled $113,603.”
How To Apply For Energy Share Program
People needing help from the program can apply through the Salvation Army or their local community center. Those organizatons will review the applications and decide on eligibility. Applications and more information on the Energy Share program are available here.
