
Cheyenne Man Facing 9 Charges Following Police Chase, Hit-and-Run
A 36-year-old Cheyenne man is facing nine charges, including a felony charge, following a police chase and hit-and-run crash.
Hit-and-Run
According to a booking sheet, on Monday, May 5, at 12:40 p.m., a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper was called to a hit-and-run crash at milepost 339 on eastbound Interstate 80, about four miles east of Buford or 20 miles west of Cheyenne.

The trooper says she later contacted the vehicle and driver, Joshua Kane Nichols, at the gas station in Buford.
The trooper says the vehicle and Nichols had been in a police chase out of Cheyenne.
Nichols Arrested
Nichols was subsequently arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on four misdemeanor charges, including driving while under the influence of a controlled substance - third offense within 10 years, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of a controlled substance, and failure to drive within a single lane.
Nichols Served With Warrant
On Wednesday, May 7, inmate Nichols was served with a warrant out of Laramie County Circuit Court signed by Judge TJ Forwood.
The charges were felony property destruction, fleeing/eluding, duty to stop - damage, reckless driving, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
