Cheyenne, Laramie Got Roughly An Inch Of Rain This Week
Skies are clearing now, but storm system that passed through southeast Wyoming the last couple of days drenched both Cheyenne and Laramie with a fair amount of precipitation.
In fact, the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says Laramie got an inch of rain and Cheyenne received .97 inches.
The agency posted the following on its website:
The soggy storm system is moving out of the area this evening, but left some impressive rainfall totals over portions of the area! The graphic shows rainfall totals for yesterday, today, and the combined storm total. Daily rainfall records were set yesterday at Chadron and Rawlins, and today at Cheyenne, Laramie, and Rawlins. For all of those cities setting daily records, this storm was the wettest September rain storm in over a decade! Much of the North Platte River Valley missed out on the rainfall though, with generally light totals around Torrington, Scottsbluff, and Alliance.
