This has been a long time coming. At least, it's as long as the first of this year when the state awarded Cheyenne a new liquor license that many potential and current business owners were clamoring over. I mean, I don't have to beat the dead horse with this one, but we kind of have an archaic liquor law that limits the amount that is given out to businesses.

The winner of the Cheyenne liquor license sweepstakes was a proposed music venue that is also a restaurant, bar, and spot for food trucks. Kind of all-encompassing for things to do in Cheyenne. Which, I mean, if we want the city to grow, businesses like this are needed. The project was dubbed The Railspur Project. With the caveat that they have to be open by December 31st, 2022, otherwise, the City could pull their liquor license.

When Is The Railspur Opening In Chyenne?

According to The Railspur's website, they are set to open...December 31st, 2022.

Talk about cutting it down to the wire. I get it, though. It's an ambitious project. They also had West Edge Collective moving out, they have to renovate and hire, yadda yadda. That takes time.

Speaking of hiring, if you're interested in working for The Railspur, you can apply for a number of jobs here.

So, it's looking like we may have some big New Years' Eve plans with Cheyenne's newest venue set to open on the day. I'm really looking forward to the opening, I think it's a really cool concept and can't wait to see it.

Here's what the concept looks like.
