Grab your bell bottoms and prepare for a fantastic, fun day at the University of Wyoming's annual Union Fest. This year's event travels back to the days of Jimmi Hendrix, flower power, and chill vibes. Here's what you need to know about Union Fest 2024:

Union Fest 2024 Returns to Prexy's Pasture

Union Fest is this Friday, May 3, at Prexy's Plaza on the University of Wyoming campus. It is a FREE community celebration for students commemorating the end of the school year.

All of Laramie is invited to attend the festival. Games, live music, and delicious food will be available throughout the day.

Live Music at the Festival

This year, two knock-out performances take the Union Fest stage. Los Angeles-based "lovelytheband," an indie pop band, headlines Union Fest starting at 5 p.m. Californian Emmy Meli opens the concert. Meli recently performed at last year's Edge Fest in Cheyenne, WY. Her song 'I Am Woman' became a viral sensation on TikTok after its release in 2022.

According to the University of Wyoming press release, "Lovelytheband formed in 2016 and, a year later, debuted its single "Broken," which quickly earned more than 3 million streams on Spotify. The single charted on several Billboard charts, topping the Billboard Alternative Songs and Billboard Rock Airplay charts for several weeks. The single also became the band's first top 10 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart and its first top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100."
