STUDY: Wyoming Is The Most Married State
Using U.S. Census data lets take a look at the divorce and marriage rate around America.
For some reason West Virginia, Arkansas, and Maine have the highest divorce rate, at 13 percent.
I have no idea why those people can't get along. Those are such nice states.
Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming have the highest percentage of people who are married and stay married.
That's not to say that Wyoming doesn't have divorces. But the state ranks as the lowest divorce rate, for some reason.
New York, California, and Massachusetts have the highest percentages of people who have never married.
A closer look into this by the website Wizard Quote found:
The more money someone earns, the more likely they are to be married. However, our analysts also found that while women are more likely to be married than men at lower income levels, men are more likely than women to be married at higher income levels,” according to the report. “Overall, men who earn more than $100,000 a year are the most likely to be married. Meanwhile, women who earn between $75,000 and $100,000 a year are the most likely to be divorced.
Nationwide:
More than 33% of people — or one in three — have never married.
Men who earn over $100,000 a year are the most likely to be married.
Women who earn $75,000 to $100,000 a year have the highest divorce rate.
In Wyoming:
54% - Married.
12% - Divorced.
28% - Never Married.
Across America, people are getting married later in life.
Our society does not emphasize getting married as much as it used to.
Getting divorced in today's world is EXPENSIVE!
The numbers seem to show that the more money a couple has the more likely they are to be married.
