Clever people find side gigs to make extra money.

Usually, those jobs involve doing things that the rest of us don't like doing.

Or, in some cases, can't do it for various reasons.

Cut grass in the summer, and blow snow in the winter.

There are always a few extra bucks to be made.

This winter has been a BOOM for the private snow blower guy.

Sure, it's hard work.

BUT WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME WE SAW SO MUCH FREAKING SNOW?

It's been a while.

This winter has been setting records.

Record snow means record profits.

Even people who normally don't mind moving snow themselves will hire a snow blower guy when conditions get this bad.

Sometimes people have to because they don't have the time or the equipment to handle the job.

They also make extra money in tips.

I've called on a young man to clear out my walkways before. But this last storm was so bad it was 5 times the work. So I paid him a bit extra without him even asking.

I know not everyone is that generous, but I just would not have felt right paying him what he normally gets for such a big job.

Bless the hard-working people who look for any opportunity to make some extra money doing anything they can.

Any job is honorable.

Let's face it, some of us really need the help.

When the last snow of the season is finally done then these people will get a rest, until we call them about the grass or the hedges.

Wyoming April Blizzard 2023

It was a record breaking snow storm.

Listeners to the Wake Up Wyoming Show with Glenn Woods offered up photos from across Wyoming of the piles of snow around their homes after a spring storm that lasted almost 3 days.

Its funny what snow does when it settles.

But then, after the laughter, comes the work of digging out.
