Cheyenne Central greatly improved their playoff hopes in 4A football as they prevailed over Laramie 16-0 at Riske Field on Friday night. Early on in the game, Central put their running game on display capped by an 8-yard run for a touchdown by Miles Porwall to give the Indians a 7-0 advantage. That was all the scoring in the first half and it was all the points Central would need.

The Indians came up with a 3rd quarter touchdown and the defense did the rest. The unit recorded a 4th quarter safety and held the Plainsmen offense in check from start to finish.

Cheyenne Central is 2-3 and rebounded after being shut out by Thunder Basin last week. Next up for the Indians will be 0-5 Cheyenne South. Laramie is 0-5 as well and they have a big game at Kelly Walsh in Casper on Friday with playoff implications for both teams. We have a few photos to share of the Central-Laramie game from Casey Muffley and they can be found in our gallery below.
