Wyoming’s Legion Baseball season reaches Week 13 of 2024. Three big in-state tournaments in Green River, Gillette, and Cheyenne highlight this week’s slate of games. Eleven teams from Wyoming will participate in those three events. A couple of teams will head to Billings for tournament action, and one is part of a tournament in Nevada. There are 13 conference doubleheaders on this week’s schedule, as well.

TUESDAY, JUNE 25:

Final Score: Casper Oilers 10 Rock Springs Stallions 0 (conference game) - Berens & 2 relievers combined for a 3-hit shutout. Casper spread their runs across the last 4 inns. Smith led the Oilers with 1 hit & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Casper Oilers 5 Rock Springs Stallions 0 (conference game) - 5 pitchers combine for a 3-hit shutout for the Oilers. Casper put the game away with 4 runs in the 2nd inn. Parks and Nicholls had 2 hits & 1 RBI apiece.

Final Score: Douglas Cats 11 Buffalo Bulls 3 (conference game) - 6 runs in the 5th helped the Cats secure the win. Lehnen had 2 hits & 3 RBIs for Douglas, Boyson added 3 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Douglas Cats 15 Buffalo Bulls 5 (conference game) - A 6-run 4th inn lifted the Cats over the Bulls. Holler had 1 hit & 3 RBIs for Douglas, and Johnson added 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Cody Cubs 11 Lovell Mustangs 1 (conference game) - the Cubs broke open a 1-1 game with 10 runs in the 4th inning. Schroeder had 2 hits & 3 RBIs,  and Duke added a triple & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Cody Cubs 19 Lovell Mustangs 6 (conference game) - Cubs win their 8th straight and get the road sweep. Cody had a 6-3 lead and scored 13 runs over the last 3 innings. K. Phillips had 1 hit & 5 RBIs, while D. Phillips and Duke both homered. Wassmer had 4 hits & 1 RBI for Lovell.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers AA 6 Cheyenne Hawks 5 (10 inns.) (conference game) - Laramie took the lead early with 5 runs, then Hawks struck back with 4 runs in the 6th and 1 run in the 7th to send it to extras. Rangers win with a run scored on an error in the 10th.

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 2 Laramie Rangers AA 0 (conference game) - McDonough threw a 1-hit shutout for Hawks. Frogge had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for Cheyenne.

Final Score: Torrington Tigers 10 Laramie Rangers A 0 (conference game) - 4 runs in the 3rd and 3 more in the 4th broke it open for Torrington. Hibben & Kelly had 1 hit & 2 RBIs each.

Final Score: Torrington Tigers 10 Laramie Rangers A 5 (conference game) - Tigers' 8-run 2nd inning gives Torrington the win over the Rangers.

Final Score: Powell Pioneers 15 Riverton Raiders 12 (conference game) - Powell scored 8 runs in the 1st inn to take the lead and never gave it up. Queen and Welch led the way for the Pioneers with 3 hits & 3 RBIs each.

Final Score: Powell Pioneers 6 Riverton Raiders 1 (conference game) - 5 runs in their last 2 at-bats broke it open for the Pioneers. Queen and Stenerson had 1 hit & 2 RBIs each.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26:

Final Score: Casper Drillers 4 Cheyenne Eagles 1 - the Drillers took the lead in the 3rd as they scored the last 4 runs of the game. Martinez had 2 RBIs for Casper.

Final Score: Casper Drillers 7 Cheyenne Eagles 4 - the Drillers scored 5 runs over the first 2 innings. Speiser had 2 hits & 4 RBIs for Casper.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 21 Rock Springs Stallions 1 (conference game) - the Riders exploded for 11 runs in the 1st and pounded out 17 hits in the Game 1 victory. Petersen had 3 hits, including a Grand Slam, & 6 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 17 Rock Springs Stallions 7 (conference game) - Gillette took the lead with 5 runs in the 1st inning and kept adding to it to finish the sweep in 6 innings. Killian had 3 hits & 3 RBIs for the Riders. Zotti had 2 hits & 3 RBIs for RS.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 10 Wheatland Lobos 4 (conference game) - trailing 3-1, the Rustlers scored 7 runs in the 4th to take the lead. Newman & Smith had 2 hits & 2 RBIs apiece.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 19 Wheatland Lobos 9 (conference game) - the Rustlers scored 12 runs in their last 3 at-bats to end the game early. Smith had 3 hits & 5 RBIs and Craig had 4 hits (2-2B, 3B) & 4 RBIs for Gillette.

THURSDAY, JUNE 27:

Final Score: Sheridan Jets 9 Wheatland Lobos 7 (conference game) - the Jets built a 9-4 lead and held off the Lobos. Switzenberg had 3 hits & 1 RBI for Sheridan.

Final Score: Sheridan Jets 13 Wheatland Lobos 1 (conference game) - a 7-run 4th broke it open for the Jets. Araas had 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Matthews added 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Collins Collab (Ft. Collins, CO) 18U 11 Laramie Rangers AA 1 - Collins scored 4 in the 1st to take the lead and capped it with 6 more in the 4th.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 12 Jefferson Academy (CO) Jaguars 1 - Coates had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for the Sixers. Crecelius added 3 hits & 1 RBI.

Final Score: North Platte (NE) FNBO Nationals 7 Laramie Rangers AA 0 - NP had 10 stolen bases and held Laramie to 5 hits.

Final Score: Catalyst Cardinals (CO) 5 Cheyenne Sixers 0 - the Sixers were held to 4 hits. Catalyst scored 4 in the 5th seize control.

Hladky Memorial Tournament in Gillette

Final Score: Gillette Riders 6 Castle Rock, CO 5 - Hawk had the GW, walk-off, RBI 1B in the 7th for the Riders. Killian added 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Premier West (Denver, CO) Cardinals 3 Gillette Riders 2 - Premier wins it with a run in the 7th.

Knights Invite Wood Bat Tournament in Green River

Final Score: Riverton Raiders 13 Rawlins Bandits 1 - the Raiders scored 8 in the 1st and 2 in the 2nd.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 11 Laramie Rangers A 2 - the Giants scored 6 runs in the 5th inning to secure the win.

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 5 Lovell Mustangs 3 - the Hawks scored 4 runs on the 2nd and held off the Mustangs. Tafoya had 1 hit & 2 RBIs

Final Score: Powell Pioneers 6 Pocatello (ID) Razorbacks 1 - Queen had 2 hits & 2 RBIs and got the win on the mound.

Final Score: Green River Knights 11 Lockwood (MT) Razorbacks 3 - GR broke it open with 8 runs in the 3rd inning. Lee had 3 hits (2B) & 3 RBIs. Paoli had 2 hits & drove in 1 run.

Final Score: Evanston Outlaws 13 Elko Basque 18U 5 - the Outlaws scored 10 runs in their last 2 at-bats. Oliver had 3 hits (2B, 3B) & 5 RBIs for Evanston.

Goldsmith Gallery Tournament in Billings, MT

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 6 Parker (CO) Lightning 2 - Hutton led the Troopers with 2 hits & 1 RBI. Sheridan's 2 runs in the top of the 7th secured them the win.

Final Score: Great Falls (MT) Chargers 6 Sheridan Troopers 2 - Troopers had a 1-0 lead early, but gave up 2 runs in the 5th inn and couldn't mount a comeback. Riesen had 1 hit & 1 RBI for Sheridan.

Final Score: Casper Oilers 5 Dickinson (ND) Roughriders 4 (8 inns.) - the Oilers rallied from a 4-2 deficit with 2 runs in the 7th to tie the game. Nicholls won it on a walk-off in the bottom of the 8th with an RBI single to right field.

Final Score: Catalyst Cardinals (CO) 9 Laramie Rangers AA 7 - the Cardinals scored the last 5 runs of the game. Malone had 2 hits (2B, HR) & 3 RBIs for Laramie.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 9 Rocky Mountain Lobos (Ft. Collins, CO) 0 - Williams had 3 hits & 3 RBI for Cheyenne. Pearson & Reisdorfer combined on a 3-hit shutout.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 7 Eden Prairie (MN) #2 4 - Riders scored 6 runs in their last 2 at-bats to rally for the victory. Schilling & Petersen had 1 hit & 2 RBIs apiece. Drube added 3 hits.

Knights Invite Wood Bat Tournament in Green River

Final Score: Lovell Mustangs 4 Pocatello Razorbacks 3 - Mustangs win it on a walk-off RBI single by Wilson.

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 4 Powell Pioneers 3 - Hawks hold off the comeback bid from Powell after the Pioneers scored 2 in the bottom of the 6th to get within one. Cotton led Cheyenne with 1 hit & 2 RBIs. Fauskee had 1 hit & 2 RBIs for Powell.

Final Score: Lockwood Razorbacks 10 Rawlins Bandits 4 - a 6-run 3rd was the difference. Rawlins capitalized on 8 walks and 3 errors, but it wasn't enough.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 8 Riverton Raiders 1 - the Giants led 3-1 and steadily pulled away. Mortensen had 2 HRs & 3 RBIs for Jackson. Olnhausen also homered for the Giants.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers A 3 Green River Knights 3 - the game ends in a tie on a time limit. Gill had 3 hits & drove in 2 runs for Laramie. Buschelman had 2 hits & 1 RBI.

Final Score: Evanston Outlaws 14 Gooding (ID) Diamondbacks 4 - the Outlaws jumped out to a 6-1 lead and pulled away. Oliver had 4 hits (2B, HR) & 4 RBIs. Batman added 2 hits & 2 RBIs

Final Score: Williston (ND) Keybirds 6 Sheridan Troopers 5 - Williston scored 4 in the 7th for the win. Riesen had 3 hits (2-3B) & 4 RBIs for Sheridan.

Final Score: Mandan (ND) Chiefs 5 Casper Oilers 4 - 2 runs in the 6th was the difference for the Chiefs. Parks had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for Casper.

Final Score: Billings (MT) Scarlets 16 Casper Oilers 1 - the Scarlets scored 14 times in the first 2 innings.

SATURDAY, JUNE 29:

Final Score: Cody Cubs 13 Casper Drillers 2 - Phillips had 2 hits & 5 RBIs to lead the Cubs, including a 3-run HR. Cody jumped out to a 7-0 lead.

Final Score: Cody Cubs 10 Casper Drillers 7 - Cody's Duke had 2 hits & 4 RBIs with a grand slam in the 1st inning as the Cubs had a 5-0 lead and held off the Drillers comeback.

Final Score: Sheridan Jets 13 Cheyenne Eagles 4 (conference game) - Ormseth drove 5 runs with 3 hits for the Jets.
