“Our people know how to party,” says Bryr Grace, Finance Director of the EPPSON Center for Seniors. They’re throwing a big party this weekend, and they want the 21+ crowd to attend.

“We have rare whiskey donated!” Grace said, including some bottles of Just LeDoux It. A Wyoming party doesn’t get more official than that.

Eppson Center 50th Year Anniversary Bash Details

The Senior Center is throwing a bash for its 50th year in existence this Saturday, June 10. “That 70’s Party” will be held from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. The $50 ticket will include dancing to a DJ, live music, games, food, alcohol, and other drinks.

“We’re so excited about that 70s party. Wonderful things are in our silent auction, really rare whiskeys donated, Red Skelton prints, some afghans, and other art prints. And the LeDoux it… there’s a bottle of cinnamon and clove,” Grace added to entice partygoers.

“We’ll have a wallet pull–instead of a wine pull.  Like, punch-a-bunch like in “Price Is Right.” Grandparents get wallets for birthdays, so a bunch of wallets are donated. You’ll pay $20, punch, pull a wallet and get the wallet and the cash and gift cards inside of it.”

For their 50th, they’ve set a goal of raising $50,000. “Our kitchen items are 40-50 years old. We feed about 200-250 people a day between home deliveries and congregate meals. We use our equipment often.”

They’ve applied for grants, and their mail-in campaign around Christmas raised about $30,000.

“We don’t have the one big fundraiser that happens every year like other organizations do. We canceled “Family Fun Night” because of a fairgrounds conflict. We want to make that our “thing,” but this weekend, it's our 70’s party.”

If anything, it’ll be a unique experience. Stop by the EPPSON Center to get your $50 ticket.
