It's back! The Vedauwoo Volunteer Fire Department cordially invite Laramie and Albany County residents to check out their firehouse and grab some fresh flapjacks on Saturday, April 29!

Vedauwoo Volunteer Firefighters Open House & Pancake Breakfast

The hardworking volunteers of the Vedauwoo Volunteer Fire Department love nothing more than to start a day with a heaping plate of pancakes - except maybe sharing their morning with you!

Each year, the VVFD hosts an open house to connect with the community, show off their fire trucks, and raise money to help fund the department's efforts to protect Vedauwoo from fires. A spokesperson at the VVFD explained that "the Pancake Breakfast is a great way to meet our neighbors and talk with them about how we can best serve our community. It's a great opportunity to show the community what we do and how we operate."

This year, the VVFD Open House features freshly made flapjacks, a silent auction, and a tour of the firehouse's big red engines. They'll also have a helicopter visiting - the kids will love it!

Keep Vedauwoo Fire-Free! Fundraising for the Vedauwoo Volunteer Fire Department

The annual Open House helps keep the doors open of Vedauwoo's Volunteer Fire Department. This year, the Department hopes to raise sufficient funds to replace their helmets. The VVFD pointed to the generous donations of the community playing a key role in keeping the department well-equipped, saying:

"Our current helmets have expired and need to be replaced. Without these generous donations, we could not afford to do what we do. We rely heavily on the community to help us keep our volunteers safe and the station doors open. We enjoy meeting new people and showing our community what makes Vedauwoo Volunteer Fire Department amazing!"

If you can't make it to the open house, you can always donate to the VVFD at the Square Site by clicking here.
