There's no place like home for the holidays...especially at the University Women's Club Holiday Home Tour! Each Christmas season, the club hosts tours of several houses in the Gem City, each decorated in holiday splendor. This year's event features floral decorations generously donated by Poppy's Flowers.

The annual tour celebrates the holidays while giving back to the Laramie community. Since the 1990s, the club has hosted a festive home tour to raise funds for scholarships benefitting non-traditional students at the University of Wyoming. Denise Marquiss, a club member, said she and her fellow members hope to spread holiday cheer this season. "We think that it will put them in the Christmas spirit knowing that they will be supporting the community while enjoying the tour," said Marquiss.

Touring Laramie's 2023 Holiday Homes

Four homes play host to the event this year. Each home is decked out in holiday decorations to celebrate the season. Tickets are available in advance for $20 at Ace Hardware or $25 at the door of the four homes.

The tour is a 'drive-yourself' style event. Guests can start at any one of the four featured houses and follow their own chosen path to visit each home. This year's homes include:

265 N. 5th St.

Built in 1905, the home is a two-bed, one-bath. This home has a unique history -initially, the house was only a 240 sq. ft. home. The first family had seven people sharing one bedroom! Over the years, the porch was enclosed to become a kitchen and a laundry room, adding much-needed square footage to the home. It now serves as a Verbo rental. This house was generally offered for the tour's use by owner Billy Eckhart.

2718 Nighthawk Dr.

This modern home, built in 2023, is 4300 sq. ft. of beautiful space. Very modern construction. It has three beds, four bathrooms, an exercise room, a wine cellar, and an expansive living room area. The home also features three fireplaces, a designer kitchen, and a built-in BBQ. Jennifer and Kevin Yeend generously donated the house for the tour.

2061 Battle St.

This beautiful three-bedroom, three-bathroom, modern farmhouse was offered for the tour's use by Andy Baukol.

1066 Inca Dr.

Built in 1980, this ranch-style house is a beloved family home. It features a new kitchen and living room, five bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The home has received TLC from its current owner, Kelly Neville, who generously donated it to the tour's use this year.
