A 10-year-old Wyomingite is dead after being hit by a pickup in Laramie, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.

The tragic accident happened around 1:44 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, near the intersection of Grays Gable Road and North Granito Drive.

According to a fatality crash summary, a Ford F-150 turned onto Grays Gable Road, and the child ran into the street and was struck and killed.

The pickup driver and their passenger were not injured in the crash.

This is the second reported pedestrian to die on Albany County's roadways this year.
