Wyoming’s Favorite Fast Food Dessert Might Surprise You

Do you remember what Ferris Bueller said in the 1986 movie?

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That mentality was a little easier to fulfill in 1986. There were no cell phones, the internet was still just under a decade away, and social media was a pipe dream. Kids rode their bikes until the street lights came on, and eating fast food was a special occasion.

Today, our phones are attached to our hands, the internet is a major part of nearly everyone's life, most kids are playing video games, watching TV, or on their phone/iPad/computers, and fast food is a common source of food.

Since fast food is now a way of life, menus have expanded to include iced coffee, healthy options, and a wide variety of desserts.

Even in a state like Wyoming, fast food restaurants can be found in some way, shape, or form in just about every town. When you look at which fast food joints are tops in Wyoming, pizza and burger places rank fairly high, but Subway rules the roost.

There are twice as many Subway (64) restaurants as the next, Pizza Hut (30), across Wyoming. That may be the reason behind the latest food survey released, which says Wyoming's favorite fast food dessert item is the Subway chocolate chip cookie.

I have to say, I enjoy Subway cookies, but are they my favorite fast-food dessert? I'm quite fond of a Dairy Queen Blizzard, a Frosty from Wendy's, or a Churro from Taco John's.
