There's something I've come to realize about some celebrities in Hollywood: you can never tell where they'll pop up to make films. Kevin Costner is widely known for his love of Yellowstone National Park; he's been the narrator and host of a few specials, including Yellowstone One Fifty and Yellowstone to Yosemite.

Another actor you never know where he'll be popping up is Dennis Quaid. One night, you may see him chatting with President Donald J. Trump; the next, you may see him performing on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville; and then you may see him filming a documentary in Yellowstone National Park.

Dennis has been one of those actors who have been in some of the greatest feel-good, action, and memorable movies since he came onto the acting scene in the late 1970s. We've seen him play singing legends like Jerry Lee Lewis, teachers, coaches, and President Ronald Reagan. He's also been active in documentaries. Like Costner, Quaid has a recognizable voice that is calming and draws you in, which is exactly what you feel in his docuseries, Saving Yellowstone, a four-part limited series that explores the beauty of the park.

Sometimes when you watch a series like this, you wonder what the star's level of passion for the park is. Are they just reading lines, or are they really invested? In Quaid's case, the actor lived just 13 miles outside of the park's northern entrance in Montana, so I'd say he is passionate about the park's beauty.

The series, Saving Yellowstone, originally aired on Animal Planet in the late fall of 2025 and is now available on many streaming platforms. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it and see how passionate Dennis is about the park and its future.
