Sometimes, things happen that can't be helped, and that's exactly the case with the Chase Rice concert that was scheduled to take place in Thermopolis on July 12. Unfortunately, an issue arose with the venue for Wyoming Discovery Days at the Thermopolis Golf Course, and the show has been moved.

In April, we announced that Chase is not a stranger to Wyoming. He's been here for concerts, he's passed through on his way to hunt elk and even spent time here with his family on vacation.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday,  Wyoming Discovery Days announced the Chase Rice show had been canceled. They stressed that the decision wasn't made by Chase or the volunteers at Wyoming Discovery Days and was "beyond our control."

They also announced that they would soon name another artist to perform at the Thermopolis Golf Course on July 12.

If you're disappointed by the news that the Chase Rice show is not happening, hold on a second; he is performing in Wyoming on July 12.

The Go Down Singin' tour stop in Wyoming has just changed venues, and Chase will be on stage at The Gaslight Social in Casper.

If you have already purchased your tickets, they will be honored at Gaslight, or you can request a refund. It was announced that digital tickets purchased online will be refunded, but paper tickets will not. For more details, visit CasperEntertainment.com.

Chase has had an incredibly colorful career that began with wearing the Carolina Blue of the University of North Carolina while playing football. He then moved on to NASCAR, working as a pit crew member, and later appeared on Survivor: Nicaragua. However, it was music that truly captured his interest.

If you haven't bought your tickets yet, you can buy them now at TheGaslightSocial.com.

General admission tickets start at $43, while 8 Top VIP tables are $87.50 per ticket. You can also add an acoustic experience and merchandise package each for an additional price.
