Is Anyone In Wyoming Actually Excited For The Eclipse?
Of course, some people are very excited about the eclipse, but since there won't be totality in Wyoming now, some aren't.
Another factor that may play against us in Wyoming is weather conditions. According to NOAA.GOV, the forecast is cloudy, with a chance of precipitation during the time the eclipse will happen.
Monday: Scattered snow showers between 9am and 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 40. West wind between 9 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%
If you can see the partial eclipse here in Wyoming, how much of the sun will be blocked out? According to Time and Date.com, the eclipse will begin around 11:33 a.m. and be finished by 1:52 p.m.
Even if the weather makes seeing it difficult, not everyone is that excited about it happening. If the weather was clear, we asked our Facebook family if they would step outside to check it out.
If you're looking forward to seeing the eclipse, make sure you're being safe.
- NASA says looking at a partial or annual solar eclipse is never safe without using eclipse glasses.
- Do not look through camera lenses, telescopes, binoculars, or other devices without having eclipse glasses or a solar viewer.
- Use alternative methods of viewing the eclipse. Waiting for the eclipse day to get these items may be difficult.
- Don't block traffic or park in areas that may cause issues.
- Don't go onto property where you don't have permission.
If you miss this eclipse, you'll have other opportunities to see one over the next few years.
