LARAMIE -- Air Force is a 10.5-point favorite Saturday night in Colorado Springs.

Yes, you read that right.

Why? Your guess is as good as mine.

Wyoming enters this one with a 5-1 overall record and a 2-0 mark in Mountain West play. The Falcons are 5-0 on the season and coming off a bye week. Troy Calhoun's team has rolled through the early part of its schedule -- like it should.

The teams they've beaten -- Robert Morris, Sam Houston State, Utah State, San Jose State and San Diego State -- have a combined record of 8-22. Air Force has the 127th-ranked strength of schedule out of 133 FBS programs, per

Wyoming, on the other hand, has faced the 49th hardest slate in the nation.

What does that mean? Squat.

Bohl: UW running back Harrison Waylee's injury not 'season ending'

Will the Cowboys have the services of star running back Harrison Waylee in this one? Head coach Craig Bohl said the junior is "day-to-day" but the team is in hopes he'll be ready to go against the Falcons.

Can Andrew Peasley replicate his three-touchdown performance against Fresno State? The senior completed 70% of his throws and looked as confident as ever, snagging Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Can Wyoming's defense slow down the top rushing attack in the FBS? Air Force averages 330 yards per game on the ground. The Cowboys allow just over 141.

This rivalry is about as tight as it gets. The last eight games have been decided by an average of just seven points. The Falcons lead 30-27-3 all-time. No one limits that potent triple-option attack like Bohl's Cowboys.

So, again, why is the spread in this one so high?

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
