LARAMIE -- Go Navy, ground Air Force?

While I don't think it would hurt anyone's feelings around these parts to see the No. 22 Falcons suffer their first defeat, this Saturday Wyoming fans really should be pulling for, gulp, Colorado State.

The Rams, for a second straight week, could really help the Cowboys cause with another upset win. Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi's last-second heave toward the end zone capped the most improbable of victories last Saturday night inside Canvas Stadium. CSU overcame a 21-10 deficit with just 4:01 remaining to sink Boise State, a program they had never beaten before.

Behind the numbers: Wyoming vs. Air Force

That miracle handed the Broncos their first conference setback of the season. A win over UNLV this weekend inside Allegiant Stadium could do the same. The Rebels have been the most surprising team in the league so far this fall, reeling off an impressive 5-1 overall record, including a 2-0 mark in MW play.

UNLV and Air Force are the lone remaining unbeaten teams in the conference standings.

Wyoming, which is on its bye week, needs some help. CSU can provide a little in Sin City.

Here's this week's matchups and betting odds:

Air Force (-10.5) at Navy

Hawaii (-1) at New Mexico

CSU (+7.5) at UNLV

Utah State (+4) at San Jose State

Nevada (+13.5) at San Diego State

Penn State (+4.5) at Ohio State

Tennessee (+9.5) at Alabama

Duke (+14.5) at Florida State

Utah (+7) at USC

Clemson (-3) at Miami

TCU (+6.5) at Kansas State

Washington State (+20) at Oregon

Here are last week's results:
Doug: 9-3
DJ: 9-3
Jake Anfinson: 7-5
Jon Mortimer: 7-5
Jared: 6-6
Mat: 6-6
Jen: 6-6

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
