LARAMIE -- Fresno State entered this one the proud owner of some truly astounding stats.

Jeff Tedford's team had gone 40 straight offensive drives without a three-and-out. They featured a 25-quarter scoring streak, not to mention the nation's second-longest win streak at 14.

Wyoming hadn't scored a single point against the Bulldogs in the last two outings, including a 30-0 blanking in the 2022 season finale. Craig Bohl's bunch was on an 11-quarter scoreless streak against this team and lost four straight in the series.

That was a history lesson.

It's all history. Just like the 'Dogs No. 24 ranking in the Associated Press poll.

Wyoming holds on late for the 24-19 victory, moving to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Mountain West play.

.500

Craig Bohl is now 57-57 all-time as the head coach at Wyoming. In the 250th game of his career, the longest-tenured coach in school history finally pulled even after winning just six games during his first two seasons on the high plains.

2-0

That's now Wyoming's record in Mountain West play. The Cowboys took care of New Mexico in the opener last Saturday, 35-26.

5-0

That's now the Cowboys record inside War Memorial Stadium this season after wins over Texas Tech, Portland State, Appalachian State, New Mexico and now Fresno State.

9-6

That's the Cowboys new record against this Bulldogs team. Fresno State had won four straight, dating back to 2015.

2016

That's the last time Wyoming knocked off a Top-25 team. That was a 34-33 win over San Diego State in the regular-season home finale. The Cowboys also beat No. 13 Boise State that season en route to the Mountain West title game.

1

That's the number of wins Wyoming needs to pick up over the final six weeks to become bowl eligible for the seventh time in Bohl's tenure.

3

That's how many touchdown passes Andrew Peasley tossed in the first half, including a pair of strikes to wide receiver Wyatt Wieland. Tight end Treyton Welch snagged the third from 12 yards out with just 31 ticks remaining in the second quarter. The super senior signal caller completed 16-of-20 throws over the first two quarters for 144 yards. He also rushed for 25 yards.

39

That's the number of yards Peasley threw for in the second half. He completed just 3-of-7 attempts.

80

After rolling up 249 yards of total offense in the first half, Wyoming managed just 80 in the second frame, including 32 in the third quarter.

83

Harrison Waylee rushed for that many yards on 22 attempts in the win. That's an average of a season-low 3.8 yards per carry. The junior running back eclipsed the 100-yard mark in his first three games in a UW uniform. Fresno State, which entered this one allowing just 93.2 yards per game -- 16th in the nation in that category -- gave up 147 total yards on the ground.

9

For the second consecutive week, Peasley threw a pass to that many receivers. Welch led the way with six grabs on the same amount of targets. The Minnesota native finished with 74 yards and a score.

2

For the first time in his six seasons on campus, Wieland hauled in two touchdown passes in a single game. His first came from 14 yards out. The second, a four-yard strike.

8-of-9

John Hoyland missed his first field goal of the season late in the fourth quarter, clanking a 47-yard attempt off the goal post. The junior did connect on his first attempt of the night. That one came from 34 yards out. That boot -- his 54th career make -- moved Hoyland into a third-place tie in the record books with Cory Wedel.

23-of-35

That's how Mikey Keene's day went. Fresno State's quarterback rolled up 218 yards through the air and heaved a six-yard touchdown pass to Jaelen Moss in the corner of the end zone. Keene suffered an injury early in the fourth quarter after a DeVonne Harris sack.

324

That's how many yards of total offense the 'Dogs rolled up Saturday night, 104 less than their season average.

6-of-11

That was Wyoming's third-down conversion rate in the win over the Bulldogs. The visitors finished 7-of-15 in that category.

8

That's how many penalties Fresno State was hit with in this one. That equated to 91 yards. Wyoming committed just two for 15 yards.

4-for-4

That's how many red-zone opportunities the Cowboys turned into points. Three of those were touchdown passes and the other was a 34-yard field goal off the right foot of Hoyland.

27

That's how many first downs Wyoming racked up in this one compared to just 16 for the 'Dogs. Twenty-two of those first downs came in the first half.

3

That's how many sacks Wyoming's defense finished with Saturday night. Shae Suiaunoa and Harris each had one. Easton Gibbs and Cole Godbout combined for the other.

5

That's how many pass breakups the Pokes finished with, including a batted throw from Logan Fife on the Bulldogs' last offensive possession. Godbout did that. He also snagged the interception, the first of his career. That was the final death blow for the former No. 24 team in the nation.

38

That's Fresno State's rushing total in this game, including 21 yards lost on sacks and tackles for loss. Malik Sherrod led the way for the Bulldogs, rushing for 48 yards on 11 attempts. The visitors came into this one ranked No. 109 in the nation, averaging just 115 yards on the ground per game. That ranking is about to dip.

9

That's how many receiving yards Erik Brooks finished with on just two catches. The Bulldogs' leading receiver came into this one with 34 grabs for 485 yards and four touchdowns.

12

Suiaunoa led the way for the Cowboys' defense Saturday night, racking up that many tackles. Nine of those were solo stops. The outside linebacker also added a sack.

300

Middle linebacker Easton Gibbs tallied eight tackles, 0.5 sacks, a quarterback hit and a forced fumble against the Bulldogs. He now has more than 300 tackles in his Wyoming career, moving into 16th place all-time.

5-0

That was Fresno State's record before Saturday. In seven days, Wyoming will face its second straight unbeaten team, the Air Force Falcons, in Colorado Springs. Troy Calhoun's squad holds a slight 30-27 advantage in the series, but the Pokes claimed a 17-14 win last season in Laramie. UW hasn't won inside Falcon Stadium since 2017.

20,788

That was the announced attendance on a 60-plus degree night on the high plains.

Just The Facts: Size Doesn't Matter For Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium

Did you know it would take the populations of Gillette (32,857), Laramie (32,381), Rock Springs (23,319), Sheridan (17,844) and Wright (1,200) to create a sellout inside Michigan's famed 107,601-seat Big House, the largest college football stadium in the nation?

For those of you not familiar with the Cowboy State, those are Wyoming's third through sixth most inhabited cities, along with the small mining town in Campbell County.
