LARAMIE -- Brian Hill is back in the NFL.

After spending one season in the reincarnation of the XFL, San Francisco signed Wyoming's all-time leading rusher Monday, marking his second stint in the 49ers organization. Hill appeared in three games back in 2021.

Hill is currently the 14th former Cowboy on an active NFL roster and will join fellow UW alum Tashaun Gipson Jr. in the Bay area.
