The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning travelers about high winds in southeast Wyoming, with some gusts reaching 60 mph.

The agency posted this statement on its website on Thursday morning:

''Thursday morning update has extended the high wind warning for the Arlington and I-80 Summit areas through Friday afternoon with periodic gusts mainly between 50 and 60 mph while the ongoing warnings for the areas mainly east of the Laramie Range continue to 9 AM this morning. Those traveling with low-weight, high-profile including trailers and campers should exercise caution and follow any traffic delays issued by WYDHigh Wind Warning In Effect For Southeast Wyoming, Including Cheyenne
