I hope your summer plans didn't include "Driving from 3rd to 15th street on Grand Avenue," because if so, you might be out of luck. Those of us who remember when Grand Avenue from 15th up was closed for a good portion of two years may be internally groaning right about now.

According to WYDOT, Grand Avenue will be repaved this summer from 3rd Street to 15th Street. Along with the repaving, curbs and gutters will be repaired, some trees will be removed, traffic signals will be replaced at 4th, 9th, 13th, and 15th street, and all sidewalk intersections will be made ADA compliant.

Simon Contractors will be heading the repairs and, as long as it's not snowing, work will begin on Tuesday, May 28th. Repairs to signals and curb work will be the first thing on the agenda, with paving beginning July and continuing through the end of August.

Drivers should be prepared for lane closures, delays, and intersection detours during the repairs.
