Governor Mead and his administration have been productive this year  and now Mead's administration is planning to release a new state energy policy by early next year. The policy will describe the energy resources in Wyoming and specify locations for transmission lines and other related infrastructure.

According to Governor Mead, the lack of a federal energy policy is spurring the state's effort. President of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming Bruce Hinchey said he welcomes the energy policy push and also said federal agencies are dragging their feet in approving new energy projects.
