Governor Mead Signs Suicide Awareness Month Proclamation in Wyoming
Governor Matt Mead proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in Wyoming. B.J. Ayers, Executive Director of Grace for 2 Brothers Foundation, says the proclamation brings attention to the issue and highlights the ongoing prevention efforts in Cheyenne and communities across the state.
Governor Mead said while Wyoming is doing well in a many areas, suicide prevention is one area where the state is not doing as well as it should be.
This week is National Suicide Prevention Week and Wednesday is World Suicide Prevention Day. Grace for Two Brothers is hosting a Silent Walk on Wednesday September 10th from the Cheyenne Depot to the Wyoming Capitol starting at 11:45 a.m.
